Kaelum's Dentist Adventures....

Well....going to the Dentist is not 'my' favorite thing in the world, but I learned a thing or two about bravery from my 7 year old last night!

We have an AMAZING Dentist who loves kids & makes sure that everything is as easy as possible ... from sunglasses for my extremely light sensitive red-head....to a picture frenzy that made "Mom" feel a little more at ease!

Yup, Kaelum was a trooooooper!
The needle was not his favorite, but other than the initial 'escape' attempt, it was a quick & easy process.

You rock sweet boy!

Dad's Celebration

To say we miss Dad, would be an understatement, but remembering him, cherishing all our memories kept snug in our hearts & celebrating all he has done for us was more than healing, it was perfect.

It's funny, I don't remember really crying on the day of Dad's funeral...being overwhelmed by the incredible support, love & friendship...yes, I remember that, but I don't remember crying or really being sad. It was most definately a day filled with emotion; emotion that brings a catalyst of memories & stories, emotion that seared with all the good & all the light that I grew up with ... and will always have with me thanks to my Father.

The day we celebrated him was indeed perfect, overwhelming & filled with emotion. It was a day that I will never forget & I know he won't either.

I set up this blog with the intent to keep everyone 'updated' on our family & all that we have going on in our busy lives!....and yet, it hasn't exactly been a quick little project!

Needless to say, when Kennedy checked the mail today & came blasting into the back yard as I was up to my eyeballs in soil & weeds, with a package from my cousin Lana...I "KNEW" the contents would inspire me to do an update on our little site.

Lana truly captured the day. There are pictures of everyone, and take note, no tears. So ... thank you Lana for the amazing pictures that I can only say are perfect...overwhelming & filled with beautiful emotion....

Just Getting Started....

Well....after a very busy week, full of tears; both joy & sadness, I realized how incredibly important it is to keep in touch with family & friends, all of whom who have touched my heart with their kindness & love after Dad's passing one week ago today.
My Dad would love that we are setting up this blog to keep in touch...he'd be fabulously confused, filled with questions & dismay, but thrilled!
So, be patient while I try to figure out how to get this up & running, send your comments, keep in touch & I can't wait to get our 'electronic' family scrapbook up & running!
Love Lisa
